Katherine Ramsland

Dr. Katherine Ramsland, director of the Master of Arts in Criminal Justice Program at DeSales University, also teaches the forensic psychology track. She holds graduate degrees in forensic psychology, clinical psychology, criminal justice, and philosophy. Dr. Ramsland has published over 1,000 articles and 59 books, including Confession of a Serial Killer: The Untold Story of Dennis Rader, The BTK Killer, The Mind of a Murderer, The Forensic Science of CSI, Inside the Minds of Serial Killers, The Devil’s Dozen: How Cutting-edge Forensics Took Down 12 Notorious Serial Killers, and The Murder Game. Her book, Psychopath, was a #1 bestseller on the Wall Street Journal’s list. With former FBI profiler Gregg McCrary, she co-authored a book on his cases, The Unknown Darkness: Profiling the Predators among Us, with Dr. Henry C. Lee, The Real Life of a Forensic Scientist, and with Professor James E. Starrs, A Voice for the Dead. She presents workshops on investigative psychology, jury dynamics, serial murder, and suicidology to law enforcement, psychologists, coroners, judges, and attorneys, and has consulted for several television series. She is currently working on The Psychology of Death investigations for CRC Press.

D.P. Lisa Pope

Lisa Pope has worked in the Eugene Police Department Forensic Evidence Unit for fourteen years. For the past eleven years Lisa has worked as a Crime Scene Reconstructionist and Latent Print Processing and Comparison Analyst. Lisa holds a Master’s degree in Forensic Science and is a Certified Crime Scene Analyst with the International Association of Identification. She routinely provides training to internal laboratory and police personnel, outside agencies, and locally within the community. Her job duties include but are not limited to serial number restoration, crime scene processing, blood stain pattern interpretation, shooting reconstruction, fingerprint development and identification, and crime scene and latent print photography.
