Free Springfield Library Workshop

Bridging Poetry and Prose

What is the difference between poetry and prose?  What are the benefits of either? Are something ideas better suited to one or the other? How do you move your prose to poetry or your poetry to prose?  You will leave this workshop with one piece of prose and one of poetry, and hopefully the answers to some of these questions.

  • Monday, January 23rd, 2017, 5:30-7:30 pm
  • Springfield Public Library, 225 5th Street
  • Free and open to the public

PRESENTERS:

Leah Velez sprouted from the streets of Chicago like a rare dandelion. She has been transplanted here to tree country, and is a bit perplexed by mild winters.

Tia North is a commonplace orchid from Hilo, Hawai‘i.  She has been transplanted here to tree country and is terrified by harsh winters.

These free workshops are brought to you by Springfield Public Library and Wordcrafters in Eugene with support from the Springfield Library Foundation.
