Cai Emmons joins us April 20th to talk about “The Uses and Abuses of Autobiography in Fiction”

Good writing always contains an autobiographical component, even when a writer claims to have “made things up.” This talk will explore how a writer’s autobiography plays a critical role in fiction, and how misusing it can interfere.

Cai EmmonsCai Emmons is the author of two novels: His Mother’s Son (Harcourt) and The Stylist (HarperCollins). Before she began to write fiction seriously, she was a playwright and screenwriter.
