Introduction to Nonfiction Part II

Continue to explore autobiography, memoir, personal essays, and writing about the natural world in this 4-week class. Each week will feature bite-sized craft lessons, and the we’ll workshop student work. This class is also suitable for those who have taken other non-fiction writing classes before, and have short-pieces to workshop. The intent is to create a safe space for all levels of students to share their experiences creatively.

The workshop will include: sample readings of each nonfiction form, in-class and out-of-class writing and critique, and group workshop and discussion in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Bronwynn DeanBronwynn Dean is completing her MFA in Creative Nonfiction at Goddard College.

She has written for the Eugene Weekly and was cofounder of Bang!Magazine and
The Stonecutters Union. Bronwynn serves as both designer and nonfiction editor
for literary magazines The Pitkin Review and Soundings Review. She is currently
finishing a nonfiction essay collection for publication.
Bronwynn lives in Eugene with her three children and believes everyone has a story
to tell.
