Ways of Seeing

Sharpen your language and descriptions in poetry and prose. In this workshop we will focus on ways to create surprising language and images. Through various writing exercises you will have the opportunity to practice methods of gathering images and sensory details through memory and direct observation. With these details we hope that you will be able to understand the ways imagery can be used to evoke place, whether it’s a geographical location or the mental landscape of memory, thought, or meditation.
