About the Class
Starting from identifying obstacles that changed you, to finding a compelling resolution where you can share the wisdom you’ve gained, the process we’ll follow in this class is suitable for both nonfiction and fiction writers at all levels of experience. We will read classic archetypal journeys and modern interpretations to familiarize ourselves with the universality of struggle and the writer’s urge to make meaning out of it.
The class will include weekly readings, in-class and out-of-class writing, and group workshop and discussion in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Bronwynn Dean has an MFAW from Goddard College. She has written a non-fiction essay collection called Potted: A Cultivated Life that examines the evolution of marijuana culture and her development in relation to weed. She teaches non-fiction classes through Wordcrafters, is a cofounder of the writing group The Stonecutters Union, and serves as the nonfiction editor for Clockhouse.
