Wednesday, 20 May– Jerry Oltion speaks on “Mastering the Footstool Story”

Jerry OltionJerry Oltion has been writing short fiction since the 1970s and selling it regularly since 1981. He ran the Wordos critique group for several years. He has won a Nebula award and has been on the short list for the Hugo award. He’s a firm believer in learning the basics before you push the boundaries of a craft, and he has sold well over a hundred of his basic “footstool” stories. At his Wordcrafters and Wine on Wednesday discussion, he will explain how — and more importantly, why — to write a footstool story.
