Kristin Ammerman joins us March 16th to talk about “3 Social Media Lies: What Writers Really Need to Know about Marketing”

Writing is a business, and like any business, writers need to find balance in their work. Are you wondering what the best practices are for social media? How long should you be spending on it? Do you need to be on social media? Marketer and writer Kristin Ammerman will share the most common lies that writers are told about social media and how to cut through the noise to find what works best for you.

Kristin AmmermanKristin Ammerman – Kristin oversees the brand and business strategy of literary clients through messaging on their websites, social channels, partnerships, and print media. She currently works as the Project Manager for Picture Book Summit and KidLit TV. Recently, she also became the literary contributor for HowDoesShe.com, a parent blog with over 350,000 newsletter subscribers. She has written articles for, or been featured in, Social Media Examiner, Socially Sorted, My Kids’ Adventures, KidLit TV, and How Does She.

Kristin is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators and she’s currently working on a middle grade fantasy novel for kids. She likes to mix it up by writing short fiction and was published in an anthology with Port Yonder Press. Kristin is addicted to middle reader epic fantasy.
