Join us the 3rd Wednesday of the month for stimulating conversation and wine! Each month will feature a different professional writer, agent, or editor to talk about the business and craft of writing. Get yourself a glass of vino and pull up a seat!

Matthew Lowes joins us Wednesday, July 20th, to talk about “On Fiction and Games”

Matthew Lowes discusses narrative game design, and what we can learn about fiction from games. He will also share his experience with crowdfunding and his perspective on independent publishing and projects.
Matthew LowesMatthew Lowes is a writer of weird fiction and games. His stories have appeared in a variety of publications, including Dark Recesses, Anotherealm, and the ShadowSpinners Anthology. He is the author of a guide to chess, a giant robot wargame, and a dungeon crawling card game. His latest project, Dungeon Solitaire: Labyrinth of Souls, was successfully funded through Kickstarter and will be released at the end of July. He is currently working on a collection of horror stories and a roleplaying game.
