Wednesday, 15 April — Publisher Patricia Marshall talks about “Successful Self-Publishing”

patricia-marshallPatricia Marshall serves as the Board President for Wordcrafters in Eugene, and in her spare time, she runs Luminare Press, a publishing company that helps authors navigate the complexities of self-publishing. Patricia’s interest in book editing came from critiquing and editing manuscripts for fellow writers. She brings a thorough knowledge of printing and a passion for non-fiction book editing to the process, as well as a strong desire to help authors produce a polished, professional book.

Since 2003, she has been the editor of Forest Magazine, published by a national conservation group located in Eugene, OR. She has extensive experience producing marketing and promotional materials, and in 2010, introduced an online edition of the magazine. She is currently writing a non-fiction book about Burley Design Cooperative.

Patricia has a degree in journalism from the University of Oregon, an MFA in Creative Nonfiction from Goucher College in Baltimore, and a certificate in Digital Journalism from Media Bistro in New York. She is a member of the Northwest Independent Editors Guild.
