Fame & Fortune in Your Life Stories

Fame & Fortune in Your Life Stories:

The Art of Personal Narrative for Magazines and Newspaper

This workshop will teach you how to identify the most compelling parts of your personal story and organize them by era, theme, and/or subject into chapters for a full-length book. We'll focus on the creation of vivid scenes and characters, create a plot based on narrative arc, and discuss the ethics involved in writing about the people in our lives. You'll complete the class with a solid sense of how to map out and write your book-length memoir, chapter-by-chapter, with an eye for telling a creative and compelling life-story that will engage, inform, and entertain your readers.
6 Wednesdays: September 25; October 2, 9, 16, 23; November 6 (no class October 30) 6:00-8:00 pm Wordcrafters Workshop, 438 Charnelton, Suite 102, Eugene Cost: $247
