An organization as vibrant and vigorous as this has endless need for volunteers to help us achieve our goals. Whether you are interested in participating in the conference, the speaker series, the youth programs, or community reading/book club programs, we could use your assistance. Opportunities for High School Students
We are a part of Nonprofit High School. It’s a collaborative internship program created by four different nonprofit organizations in Lane County: The Shelton McMurphey Johnson House; the Lane County History MuseumAdventure! Children’s Museum; and Wordcrafters. The Nonprofit High School project is specifically designed to fulfill a high school student’s community service requirement for graduation while teaching workplace skills and encouraging in-depth understanding and engagement in non-profit involvement. Click here for a brochure on the program or visit nonprofithighschool.blogspot.com to apply.
Opportunities for College Students
For undergrads and non-MFA graduate students, we offer internship opportunities in social media management, non-profit administration, program coordination, education, and marketing.
For MFA students, we offer short term and long term opportunities. From low commitment opportunities such as the Ace Your App college essay event, to teaching a semester for our Writers in the Schools program, MFA’s have an opportunity to make connections and gain experience.
Opportunities for Community Members
